My Top 10 Skincare Products At The Moment

With products coming out at what can feel like light-speed it can be hard to keep track of the ones you love versus the ones you could live without. My routine changes as my skin changes–which seems to be daily–and I rotate products constantly so I wanted to highlight the superstars in my routine that I’ll be using religiously for the foreseeable future.

Micellar Water/Makeup Remover: Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water $15

Why I love it: If I had a nickel for every time I suggested this to someone, I’d have a sh*t ton of nickels because I might as well work for Bioderma I recommend their products so much. There is no makeup that stands a chance against this makeup-removing micellar water. It breaks down any makeup/any other dirt left on your skin and leaves you with a completely clean, blank canvas ready for the rest of your routine. If I forget this on a trip, I’m tempted to fly home and get it—it’s devastating, so I know for sure, 100% you’ll love it.

Cleanser: IS Clinical Cleansing Complex $42

Why I love it: You know those cleansers that leave your face so dry and tight that you can barely raise your eyebrows or make any facial expression? A lot of cleansers used to leave me high and dry and feeling like I’d just cleaned my face with Windex. I have normal skin that leans on the drier side and this cleanser has been an amazing addition to my routine. I never really thought of a cleanser doing more than, well, cleaning your face, but this one tightens your pores, prevents/treats acne, and exfoliates all in one easy step. Because this cleanser does so much, it’s hard to believe it’s actually recommended for people with sensitive skin or rosacea because. But it is! It’s so gentle, so there really isn’t a reason not to get it!

Toner/Exfoliant: Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 1970 $28

Why I love it: OK, so I know you’ve probably read about this one before, and for good reason! This stuff works—plain and simple. It’s a little expensive, but if you think about it, you’re getting a toner and a chemical exfoliant all in one, so you’re kinda getting a deal, right?  There are a few different kinds of this same product—one for dry skin, sensitive skin, etc. I use the OG version that’s for skin that’s not particularly dry or oily, and it works great. If you need one that’s a little more gentle, look for P50W and go try that instead!

Speaking of, there are about seven different kinds of this one product. There’s Biologique P50, P50V, P50W, etc. so check out this cheat sheet before you buy yours.

Serum: SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic $166

Why I love it: This is my desert island, prized possession, can’t-live-without of my morning skincare routine. It’s my go-to morning serum because it’s great for protecting your skin from outdoor factors like pollutants and UV rays. Not only does it protect, it helps fight wrinkles and brightens skin tone better than any other serum I’ve ever used. It’s not surprising that this serum is one of the most talked about on the internet—it even won Allure’s Best of Beauty Award three times!

Moisturizer: Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream $68

Why I love it: OK, so it’s no secret I love Drunk Elephant. They’re just good, their products are clean, and each one feels thought-out and perfect. This moisturizer is no different. First of all, it answered my prayers because it’s a lightweight moisturizer that doesn’t pill under makeup,so you can definitely wear it both day and night, which I LOVE. It just feels like a big, healthy protein shake for my face, and I love how I can trust it to help my never-ending quest to produce more collagen and leave my skin bouncy by morning.

Eye Cream: Origins Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff $32

Why I love it: It’s hard for me to really love any eye cream because I just feel like it takes forever to show results, and I can never stick to one long enough to really see any difference. That, and I have raccoon-size bags under my eyes on any given day, so I had really given up on the whole eye cream game. Origins Ginzing Eye Cream is the first cream that immediately de-puffs my tired eyes, and it feels cold when you put it on so it really feels like it’s doing something. Every single time I put it on, I see a difference and see that it’s helping lift and give my eyes the wake-up they so desperately need.

Sunscreen: Supergoop Defense Refresh Setting Mist SPF 50 $28

Why I love it: Goes on completely clear, feels like a luxurious spa mist, and smells like one, too. I am in love with this product and it forever changed my relationship with SPF. It won’t leave you feeling sticky or oily, and you may not even be able to remember if you put it on or not it’s so lightweight!

Spot Treatment: COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch $5

Why I love it: These. Things. Changed. My. Life. No, they really did. There is no pimple that these patches can’t handle. CosRX is a Korean brand that has completely mastered the pimple patch and sucks all the oil out of your zit with one use. I am so in love with these, I have nothing but praises for them and their inventors!

Mask: Drunk Elephant Sukari Babyfacial $80

Why I love it: Even if you have sensitive skin, this mask will steal your heart. It’s packed with acids to deeply exfoliate and brighten your skin. But the best part about it is that it’s also packed with calming ingredients to ensure your face won’t get irritated or inflamed. I love it because it gives the same amazing results every single time I use it,—without fail—and it makes my skin glow like nobody’s business. It’s really perfect to do the night before an important event. Just don’t forget to pack on the moisturizer after to enhance that Babyfacial glow.

Skin Tool: Easydew EX DW-EGF Derma Roller Program Special Kit $93

Why I love it: I have never—and I mean never—gotten “facial-like results” from any at-home facial products except this miracle kit. Easy Dew is a Korean skincare brand that thought up this brilliant at-home microneedling kit, which is both sanitary and extremely effective. They give you seven ampoules of EGF (epidermal growth factor) and a pop-on cartridge with needles that dissolve into the skin, leaving you looking like a pore-less, ageless baby.

Warning: Microneedling can be very irritating and too harsh for people with sensitive skin, and it can be particularly bad for people with rosacea. So if you have either of those things, ask your dermatologist first!
